Emmy Nominations 2023: HBO and Netflix Dominate the Field with Record-Breaking Nominations

The Emmy nominations for 2023 were announced on July 12, 2023, by actress and comedian Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy chairman and CEO Frank Scherma. The nominations were a mix of traditional broadcast and streaming shows, with HBO and Netflix leading the way with 25 and 24 nominations, respectively.

* Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series: Bill Hader (Barry), Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Bill Murray (On the Rocks), Paul Rudd (The Shrink Next Door), Steve Martin (Only Murders in the Building), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building)

The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 18, 2023, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
