Tom Holland has announced that he is taking a year off from acting following the grueling shoot for his new Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room, The psychological thriller stars Holland as Danny Sullivan a man with dissociative personality disorder.
In an interview with Deadline Holland said the shoot was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, He said he was working 17-hour days six days a week and that he was constantly exhausted.
The show did break me said Holland, But in a good way, It pushed me to my limits and I’m so proud of what we’ve made.
Holland said that he is taking a year off to rest and recharge, He said he wanted to spend time with his family and friends and that he wanted to explore other creative outlets.
I’m not sure what the future holds, said Holland, But I know I need to take a break.
The Crowded Room is set to premier on Apple TV+ on July 15, It also stars Amanda Seyfried, Christopher Abbott and Emmy Rossum.
