Before he leaves Eintracht Frankfurt to join Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner hopes his team can “sparkle” once more in Saturday’s German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund.
Glasner, who joined Frankfurt in 2021, has been a disclosure at the club, driving them to an Europa Association semi last season and the Bundesliga top four this term.
However, he has made the decision to transfer to Wolfsburg at the conclusion of the season, where he will be hoping to end his career with a cup victory.
“I want to believe that we can shimmer one final time,” Glasner said. ” We want to win a trophy because we have a chance to do so.
“We know it will be a difficult game against Dortmund, but we are confident we can win,” the team stated.
Frankfurt has won three of their last four matches against Dortmund, a good record in recent years.
However, Dortmund, who are currently third in the Bundesliga and have won the cup a record eight times, will be the favorite to win it all.
The Olympiastadion in Berlin will host the final, which is expected to be a thrilling contest.
As a final present for the Frankfurt faithful, Glasner will be hoping that his team can put on a memorable performance and win the trophy.
