Moraine police confirmed one person was killed in a shooting at the DeMax plant on Thursday night.
Police also said two other people, including the suspect, were wounded in the shooting.
Officers were called to the scene around 9 pm. for a report of an active shooter Thursday night. Minutes after arriving on the scene, officers say the threat is over. They found one male victim dead and one male suspect with self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Suspect was taken to hospital. No word on her condition.
Police has also found another person who shot. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. First responders also found other employees with shooting-related injuries.
Investigators believe that this was a targeted attack.
The moraine is 42 miles north of Cincinnati, south of Dayton.
Multiple ambulances responded to the scene.
Shortly after 11 p.m., Moraine police said the active threat had passed. Law enforcement are clearing the scene.
DMAX is a subsidiary of General Motors that produces turbodiesel engines. The plant is expected to be shut down while the police investigate.
