Trump congratulates Mother’s Day to ‘mothers, wives and lovers’ of ‘Marxists’ and ‘Communists’, but does not send wishes to Melania

Must read

Following a centuries-old tradition, former President Donald Trump once again used Mother’s Day to bash his political opponents.

Boasting on his Truth social platform on Sunday, he specifically extended Mother’s Day greetings to “mothers, wives and lovers of radical left fascists, marxists and communists”. Destroy our once great country. ,

He added a witty plea for mothers and lovers.

Trump has historically used occasions such as Easter, Christmas, Father’s Day and last year’s Mother’s Day to attack his political rivals with less festive wishes.

Just days after his April 4 arrest, he posted a similar Easter greeting on Truth Social, which read, “Marxists and Communists are killing our country.”

Last year he sent Christmas greetings to “radical leftist marxists” and a happy Father’s Day to “radical leftists, RINOs and other losers of the world”.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, considered Trump’s biggest rival for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, posted an entirely different Mother’s Day message on Twitter.

He posted a photo of his wife and family on Twitter on Sunday, writing: “Madison, Mason and Mami are so lucky to have the best mom in the world, @CaseyDeSantis. Thank you for everything you do for our family.” Thank you. Love you so much.” ,

Trump, on the other hand, hasn’t been wishing his wife, former First Lady Melania Trump, a Happy Mother’s Day on his Truth social platform. The couple has a 17-year-old son, Barron.

The former president’s rant about Truth Social came days after he lost a defamation lawsuit filed against him by author E. Jean Carroll and was found guilty by a Manhattan jury of sexually abusing Carroll in the 1990s. Which came out later.

In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “This verdict is shameful. This is a continuation of the greatest witch hunt in history.”

A spokeswoman for Trump did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment sent outside normal business hours.
