On the evening of 5 May, the Russian occupation forces used phosphorus and incendiary bombs on the town of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast.
The enemy, using phosphorus and incendiary ammunition on Bakhmut, tried to wipe the city off the face of the earth.

1. On 5 May Yevgeny Prigozin, the founder of the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC), wrote a letter to the Russian Defense Ministry stating that Wagner PMC mercenaries would be withdrawn from Bahamut after 10 May.
2. The Armed Forces of Ukraine doubt the claims of Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner Group. According to the Ukrainian military and intelligence service, the Russians will put pressure on Bahamut’s defenders until 9 May.
